NIBS TECHNICAL COLLEGE HOLDS 16TH GRADUATION, CELEBRATING 2,194 GRADUANDS READY FOR THE GLOBAL MARKET.
NIBS Technical College marked a major milestone during its 16th Graduation Ceremony held at the Ruiru Main Campus, where 2,194 graduands were conferred with Certificates, Diplomas, and Artisan qualifications under the theme: “Shaping Trainees for the Global Market through Industry-Based and Learner-Centered Training.”
The Chief Guest, Mr. Elijah Mwangi, CBS, Principal Secretary for Sports, Youth Affairs and the Digital Economy, commended the institution for its remarkable growth from a small training center to a nationally recognized institution with thousands of learners. He praised NIBS for its culture of resilience, its clear vision, and its commitment to hands-on, practical training that prepares graduates to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market.
Mr. Mwangi urged the graduands to become drivers of change and dependable pillars in their communities, noting their evident passion, skill, and readiness for national development agendas. He highlighted government empowerment programs—such as NYOTA for entrepreneurship, the nationwide digital hubs, the expanded housing program and the growing sports economy—as opportunities available to the newly graduated youth.
One of the Directors, Mr. Eric Wanyoike, reaffirmed the Board of Director’s commitment to continuing the legacy of the late founder, Madam Lizzie Wanyoike, whose vision centered on empowering young people through quality, industry-driven training. He emphasized NIBS’ strategic focus on competency-based, industry-informed education, strengthened industry partnerships and technology integration—including automation of academic processes and digital learning platforms.
The Director reiterated that NIBS remains dedicated to producing globally competitive graduates through modernized training facilities, enhanced customer service and strict adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards. The graduating class was encouraged to step confidently into the world, uphold professionalism and carry the NIBS brand with pride.
The ceremony celebrated not only academic achievement but also the institution’s continued growth in industry engagement, digital transformation and holistic learner development—cementing NIBS Technical College as a leading institution shaping future innovators, creators and global citizens.
