Student leadership development is the process of involving students in meaningful ways both in and beyond the classroom. It is providing opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents, skills, and interest while continuing to develop new skills. It is also about giving students more ownership of the programmes they attend. NIBS student council gives students an avenue to improve and strengthen college programmes and activities in ways that the management cannot do alone. Students bring new energy and ideas on how college activities can be improved.

The council provides opportunities for students to get involved and learn skills that can be transferable to the workplace or community empowerment.

Election of Representatives

Council members are democratically elected through universal suffrage of one student one vote.
